Garrus Vakarian, circa 2186
A fan favorite squad mate from the video game series Mass Effect, this version of Garrus Vakarian is from the last in the trilogy.

I started this bust back in Feb. 2011, and after about a week working on him I got about this far:

Every now and then when I'd get art supplies out of the drawer I'd see him way in the back and take him out to look him over, and think to myself, I should really work on this, before putting him back into his dungeon to be forgotten about for a few more months. He waited for two years.

After finding some bags of sculpey at a thrift store and playing around with it I finally got the will to bust him out of his cell. From that point he went from crestless, to this:

And finally, after deciding that he would be ME3 Garrus instead of ME2 Garrus, this:

It was a long overdue completion, but I'm very happy with how he's turned out. Now he sits on my desktop, next to my monitor, keeping me company :]

I made him with a 4:1 mixture of Super Sculpey Firm and Super Sculpey Original. He's bulked out with aluminum foil, and his crest is held upright with wire, bulked out with aluminum foil. He's painted with acrylics, and a black wash for dirtiness. His visor I made from a clear, plastic folder, which is super glued into place. It's popped off once since this morning, so I'm wondering if there's something else that'd work better than super glue. Eh well.

Dimensions: 3.5"h x 3.75"w

Mass Effect BioWare.

Thanks for looking!

I just wanted to heap some more praise on you for this, because Garrus looks awesome. The detail around his scarring is amazing. I love him so much!

I'm a geek, and I dispatch for a bunch of geek cops. I like writing, playing video games, and making messes while attempting to craft.

I'm still new here, so please tell me if I go wrong somewhere. I'm always up for some gentle correction.
