I just finished the Art Doll swap and want to share my creation with you all.

I was really inspired by my partners info & when I checked out her Pinterest I immediately knew what I wanted to make for her,the only problem was I didn't know where to start  Roll Eyes

I made the pattern up myself,a first for me although I rarely follow a pattern exactly I do usually start out with on. For her head I spent a long time on Google looking at fox heads and fox dolls and puppets. This was my trial head. While the head shape seemed perfect the ears were less so,I looked at too many cartoon type pics with long ears  Wink

My vision was to make a doll inspired by Marie Antoinette so instead of legs I made her skirts as a base.I added a circle of board and a bag of washed gravel to make her stable then stuffed the heck out of it and gathered it around her waist.

Her hair is crocheted from a very soft fluffy yarn and sewn onto her head.

I made her an underskirt trimmed with lace and her bodice is two pieces of lace that I tea dyed.

Her head, torso and arms were painted with Gesso before mixing the fox fur colour. I even made my own Gesso  Grin

She has a wire tiara with pearl beads,a crystal beauty spot and jewels in her hair that came from my nieces wedding decor  Smiley I used a pieces of vintage lace table cloth to make her overskirt.
I gave her false eyelashes and gold painted eye-shadow to finish her off.

Oh and I almost forgot to mention her fan. I made it from scrapbooking paper and embroidery floss with a pearl bead hanging from the wrist strap  Grin

The little details that you put into your creations make them so special!  The tiny fan, the face jewel, the gloves...and, I adore that you use what you have...just so creative...I think you had one very lucky partner to get this beautiful creation...

Again, thank you  Kiss  I actually felt like I'd done art this time not just craft - not that there's anything wrong with being crafty but I've always wanted to be arty too  Cheesy

I ought to post a link in the de-stash thread as I spent nothing but the postage  Smiley[/color]
