I ran across this webpage while looking online how to make your own yarn swift... I don't know why I never thought of this before!!!

It made me so happy, and my DH that we are starting to save for it now. And I just had to tell all you wonderful craftsters!  I plan on buying a big piece of pegboard and hanging it above a window(we live in the attic so the windows are low to the ground) and treating it almost as a work of art!!!

(admins feel free to move this if you want)

Interested in doing personal swaps! I can knit, crochet and sew. Smiley

This is lovely. I always appreciate things that can double for art and storage. It would be so good for keeping stash under control for me, because if I can't put it on the board then I need to lay off the yarn-buying for a while.

That is a great idea. The thing I like best about it is, I could see all my yarn at the same time; right now it's in boxes and then I lose track of what I have. But with this I'd know right away and it would encourage me to use it before buying more. (Or maybe stop me from buying something for a project when I already have something that will work that I've just forgotten about.)

Thank you for sharing this; I've bookmarked it.

It sure looks pretty and practical, but I would be concerned about fading...
