For two recent swaps, I made (among other things) a zippered pouch for each partner.  They both like birds, and they both appreciate whimsy, so the birds are wearing party hats!

The basic construction is the same as this pouch, but I eliminated the gusset and just sewed them flat. I've made a lot of zippered pouches, but these are the first ones I've made like this, with an appliqued section and a fabric section on both sides. I think it makes them a lot more interesting and there are a million different things you could applique on them to personalize them--they would be great gifts, because anyone could use a pouch for something!

Those are both great, but my favorite is the top one. I really like the lighter colors.

I've never been lost, but I will admit to being confused for several weeks.

They're very nice. I like the little bird cage pulls too.

ooh Leslie, I think you never made anything that I DIDN'T like!  Cheesy

Those are both very lovely. I like the pattern of the dark blue fabric, but I also like the patchwork you did on the first one.

Your pouches are the best, I so love mine  Grin

This rocks!! (of course)
