I found this kit online at Herrshners in January and I immediately decided I needed to order it and make it for my husband's cousin's wedding coming up in Sept.  It's the Anastasia Afghan pattern, which came with 15 skeins of 2-ply yarn!  Wowza, right? I started out working the center, then decided to take a break and work the border. I was seeing red pineapples for a LONG  time! It would take me a good 2-3 hours to work a few rows across for the center, and a few rows only give me about 3". The center measures about 43" and the pineapple border is about 6".  Anyway, it works out to about a 60" square. And, out of the 15 skeins of yarn, I only used about 11 so I have left overs! It was 6 months in the making, but I'm finally done, ends woven in and all!

Now, on to the pictures!

Here's how big it is on my queen bed!

Thank you so much! I am so relieved to be done with it!! And very anxious to see what she thinks of it...but she's the type of person that gets so happy and thankful over anything homemade, so I'm sure she will be ecstatic...now to wait until her wedding in Sept!
