For the Summer Nerd Games June Multimedia challenge I did this embroidery inspired by “Lover’s Eye” jewelry from the Georgian period.  If the eye was surrounded by blue or clouds it meant the subject was deceased.

Not only an incredibly amazing piece of needlework, I love the colors and realism of the piece and the framing is awesome, but I learned something as well. Simply stunning.
