Hi everyone, hope all is well. I just wanted to share one of my most recent paintings.. my first after finishing college! Ah! I submitted it to my university's alumni show, so we'll see how it goes.

Peonies
2013
36" x 48"
acrylic

& two detail shots. I've actually never painted flowers before, so I was a little hesitant, but I like how these came out.

Thanks for looking!

Scholars and artists...differ most importantly in the way their knowledge is come by.  Scholars get theirs with conscientious thoroughness along projected lines of logic; poets...stick to nothing deliberately, but let what will stick to them like burrs where they walk in the fields.

Thanks! They've really just never "come up" in anything I've painted, which I guess is kind of strange. I like them though! Although I don't know if I'll pick peonies for any upcoming paintings too soon... haha they're tough.
