So I've been meaning to try the bleach sprayed shirts for awhile now and finally "sat" down to do it! I made my dad a couple of t-shirts for Father's Day. He likes eagles and wears a lot of skulls so I used those as my inspiration. I found some pictures online and copied them free-handed onto some card stock type paper. I placed the paper on the shirt and sprayed away lol! For the eagle shirt, I just flipped the stencil and moved it around. After each shirt had dried, I rinsed in cold water and let hang dry again before washing.

I just like how cheap and simple it is to turn a $5 t-shirt into a more expensive-looking custom piece!

This shirt I made for the IYP 23 Swap with edelC! She loves flamingos so I came up with this design! This was actually my first attempt at bleach spraying.

The latest bleach sprayed shirt for a swap!

Both are well done, I'm partial to eagles, so that's my favourite.

These are really great! It's hard to believe it was as easy as you described - the effect looks like something much more difficult!

Thanks everyone...it really is very easy! I over sprayed the top right part of the eagle shirt but my dad didn't really see the flaw lol! I like how the bleach gives a black t-shirt a rusty distressed look! Now my husband wants some shirts! I now have something very useful to make for gifts Wink

You could use a less concentrated bleach/water mixture if you are hesitant and layer it.
