It's been a long time since I've posted anything here. Rest assured, though, I haven't stopped sewing. I recently participated in a de-stash swap (Fill A Box Lucky 13), and I got some lovely fabric from underthemountain.

When I saw this blue bird/flower fabric, I must admit, I was instantly in love... I knew it would make an adorable garden dress. The, when I saw this dress I just knew I had to do a similar neckline. I wasn't sure if I had enough fabric to make the top, so I went ahead and made the dress...

After I finished, I had -just- enough fabric for a little shrug.

Please excuse the weird/awkward posing. My boyfriend was making me laugh.

Beautiful!  And it makes me sooo happy to see not only that it found a good home, but that you were able to make it into something so lovely.  Smiley

Thank you Smiley I am almost finished with a low-back dress I'm making from the dark green fabric you sent as well.

Very lovely dress and such summery fabric! What pattern did you use? x

For the dress, I used Simplicity 4070, although I altered it quite a bit, and for the shrug I used Butterick 4926. The shrug was -very- easy to make and I didn't have to make any fitting adjustments. I highly recommend that pattern!

I love these! The dress is amazing, and the little shrug just makes it that much better!

Looks like you have two different outfits!  I love the dress with or without the shrug...such good use of your limited fabric as well...thanks also for the pattern recommendation...sometimes it is hard to tell from a pattern front how it is going to turn out...great job!
