I have as set of standard lino cutters, this kind... http://painting.about.com/od/makingartgicleeprints/ss/lino-printing_3.htm

but they are really not fine enough for some proper detail, so I have two questions..

is it possible to get really fine lines with lino?

and if so, where can I get cutters to make finer lines....or do you use something completely different?

from what I have seen in my local art stores, those are the lino tools available, but, maybe think other tools for other things.  What about experimenting with sculpting picks, or blades meant for other mediums, like sculpting, carving , or woodworking.

I had picked up a blade kit from my local hardware store years ago which had a dozen or so different shapes of craft blades for projects, that couls be used for carving lino.  I have also been able to pick up things like dental picks at a local surplus store too that could be used as a cutting/carving tool

Thanks hon, I must take a wander around the hardware store. I was thinking about blades for woodblock cutting or intaligo, but I might harass my dentist for some used picks (makes a change from him harassing me with drills and stuff)
