ive been throwing this idea around in my head for a little while now ...

what about a swap where there are no rules about what type of craft made or what materials must be used ... the only theme is that you have to craft a representation of your partners user name?

i feel like this could be really challenging and spark some imagination ... would any body be interested in something like this ... or is it only a cool concept in my own warped brain?? Tongue

I might be interested.  My username represents greyhounds.  I would LOVE to receive greyhound stuff!  It would be fun to come up w/stuff representing somebody else's username.

I think this is a neat idea too. Unfortunately my name came long before my daughter did  Undecided

Hmmm I feel like details about your username could be ironed out in the questionnaire..... Because some user names might definitely require a little explaining

I think if the username is explained with its literal meaning and then with an explanation with the personal meaning would provide the partner with plenty of information to make something pretty cool. I love this idea and would totally sign up for this Smiley

I was thinking about this swap and I would probably join up if signups were posted.

IMHO, I think usernames should definitely be discussed in the questionnaire.  Even usernames that seem simple, like mine, do have meaning behind them.

My username, came about, because I couldn't come up w/a username that wasn't already taken.  I had clever moment (which are few and far between  Grin) and thought, "Instead of got milk, how about got grey/gotgrey?"   Grin  It was also a way to honor my late greyhound, George whom is my avatar.  Those who know, love, and are loved by greyhounds always seem to understand the name right away.   Grin

They had a thread like this going not to long ago. It sounds like such a fun idea and I know I have looked at some usernames and either absolutely loved them (bunny1kenobi, cracks me up every time!) or was scratching my head thinking it had to mean something...
I would love to hear the stories of usernames and join in on this one.
Mine is pretty obvious, to me at least, but my avatar is my kitty Gozer (he gets the capital G, ha!).
