got this completed top in a Craigslist find. I am just not sure how to top it or quilt it.

it is made of a mixture of fabrics and is a little heavy.

do I add batting?

any suggestions?

If it's heavy I probably wouldn't put batting.  I would back it with either flannel or fleece.  I will suggest two ways to quilt it - follow each line from one end to the other and then do the same across the quilt so you'd have lots of little squares or follow every other line going each direction and then you'd have larger squares.  Just depends on how much quilting you want.

Hope that helps.

You could also tie it if you don't want to stitch it.

I second ties - it looks like one of those scrappy ones that would be cute with ties.
