I made these for artista83 in a personal swap. This was my first private swap,
so I was a bit nervous about the whole thing, but I've met such a nice person in her!
We decided on a 3 card swap, and she told me she loved creepy dolls, mannequins and that she herself
did many cards with women as objects (check out her cards, they are pretty awesome! ) I decided on
a robot/mannequin/doll theme, with a bit of cogwork thrown in for good measure Wink
Medium is ink and watercolour, with shrink plastic cogs. I even tried colouring the brads black,
to go with the colour scheme better. Loosely inspired by the old Metropolis posters.

The cards are pretty dimensional, the heads are layered over the shrink plastic cogs. I wanted
them to be all working and movable, but the shrink plastic decided to warp just a tiny bit, and they
all turned into more of an ornamental part instead of cool movable doll innards. I gave the headgear
a touch of modge podge to give them the feeling of being made out of a different material.
As an extra, I did a quick and easy drawing of a doll (maybe more sad than creepy, but still)
and somehow I think artista83 liked that one the best! Smiley

I'm really happy she received the cards, that's what I worried about the most, and that she said she liked them Smiley

Well, long story short, I couldn't get the cards out of my head after sending them out,
so a few days later I made a batch for myself as well!
Same theme, same make, just a different colour scheme, and of course, a bonus fourth card for me Smiley

Thanks for watching!
