A funky little ensemble that I whipped up over the weekend. The cropped sweatshirt and panel skirt were both self drafted and only took a day to sew up. Knits are the best, nothing like blasting em away with the ole overlocker!

So what's the verdict? Does the outfit work, or is crushed velvet just too tacky to live? Tongue

I also drew up a tutorial on how to draft and sew the panel skirt yourself. Visit me at http://www.mollytov.com/panel-skirt-tutorial/ if youre interested!

I think I'm not sure if I would wear it, but you seem to rock the outfit. Loving it! Great job Smiley

I just love crushed velvet! I found a crushed velvet 90s Limited dress at a thrift store last time I was in FL (Feb) and have worn it so many time already. I think it's such a fun fabric with beautiful dimension. I love the outfit (plus, I love two-piece sets you can split up). The top would go great with denim jeans and the skirt would be beautiful with an oversized blouse. I'd wear it as a set too though Smiley
