When I was little a neighbor made a plastic canvas bedroom set for my Barbie.  I don't remember what ended up happening to it, but I loved that dang thing.  I found the pattern (!) so I bought it and made a bed for my Draculara slumber party doll.  I used her colors, black and pink, and I also used a sparkle yarn for most of it to make it look neat.  It took about 6 sheets of size 7 plastic canvas and more yarn than I care to think about.

It took a little longer than I thought it would, but I'm happy with how it turned out.  I'd like to make the matching wardrobe, too.

Thanks!

The pillow fringe is a ribbon trim I found at Hobby Lobby. There's supposed to be lace all over the bed, but it was too frilly for me.

I have that book!  I never thought about doing those for MH dolls!  Great color choices for that doll!

I did a bedroom set in ivory (black), dark green (pink) and burgundy (I don't think that appeared on the bed).  It was supposed to go to my niece, but I didn't finish it in time, and by the next year she was too "old and sophisticated" for Barbie dolls...it must be somewhere in my house....I wonder if my daughter would like it?

I recall there were lots of ribbon roses involved in that set.

I have a couple of other books with similar subject material from the same time.  The love seat and chair turned out particularly well.  I was not impressed by the dining room set.

Thanks everyone!

I made a little dresser to go with it, and I'm going to make a bed, privacy screen, and dresser in light blue with metallic white for Abbey.
