This was for the recent IYP swap...and I LOVE it. I wanted to try to make something that had a scrappy/mixed media/vintagey feel to it. I saw an image of a ballerina on my partner's Pinterest, and she had somewhere that she liked flowers, so I got the idea of all these different flowers flowing from a ballerina's hand. It took a few tries of getting her printed on the fabric before getting one that didn't wrinkle/jam in the printer. I love using the scraps to make a larger piece of fabric, and I chose muted tones to get that vintagey feel, plus so the colors from the flowers could pop. I wished I could have added a few more bits to acheive the mixed media vibe (I just have fabric, paper, and buttons) but I was so afraid to paint or do something that I couldnt take back. All in all, I was really excited with how it turned out.

Thanks for looking! Smiley

I love the contrast between the bright colors and the low volume fabrics!
