Cheesy Hey everyone! I am relocating out to Hillsboro in August and was wondering if anyone has a favorite craft store that isn't a chain and if there are any public friendly places to do crafts. I also was interested in any craft clubs, venues, fairs, bazaars, etc. in the surrounding areas. Thank you!

p.s. On a odd side note if anyone knows about the local LadyHawks Roller Derby I would eat to know more,

Hi there! I'm on the eastside so am not as familiar with that side of town, but if you venture this way, Fabric Depot is on SE 122nd and Stark and is one of the biggest fabric stores in the country, and is an independent store. In general the Portland Metro area is super crafty, so crafting in public is well received Smiley Crafty Wonderland is a big craft fair. What crafts do you do?

I don't know any on that side of town either but Collage is RAAR grr ugggh too, Fabric Depot is a must. There are a million yarn stores around town. You should check out last Friday on Alberta St for some extra crafty goodness. Also, I have a friend who does a lot of work with the Rose City Rollers, if you want to, pm me and I can give you information.
