I've been doing a bit of strip construction lately - cutting strips, placing them on edge and then fusing.  I especially enjoy the look that results from using this technique with streaky glasses. I find this platter mimics a bamboo look.

How small are the strips you cut for this? The effect on this one is really lovely.

Thank you, bendog.  This was 3mm Bullseye, and I cut the strips to 3/8", so I annealed a bit longer than I would for 1/4" strips, but I like the bit of extra heft it gives to the piece.
