Great - look for it the first week of August.

What you can do now, if you can't wait, is to find or buy a puzzle and assemble it. Number all of the pieces so you can put it back together again when it's altered. I usually look for a puzzle with 24 to 35 pieces. Then I take a "row" of pieces and label them 1A, 1B, 1C, etc.

You can also put arrows for top and bottom if you want all your pieces oriented a certain direction.

You can think about themes or decide it will be artist's choice. You do not need to prep your pieces - your partners will do that.

I look at the thrift store for good quality children's puzzles - Ravensburger is a good brand.
The puzzles that come in a cube-shaped box, by Mudpuppy, finish to a 16" by 16" square. I am soooo tempted to liberate one from my preschool.

And if your thrift store puzzle happens to be missing a piece - you can either hand-cut one or use it as a window!

Have fun and see you all in 2 weeks.

I've never done an altered puzzle, but I have a really cool, wooden, chunky kids one I found at goodwill.  So I'm in too on this!
