Or. Isn't my son generous with my time. Smiley

In March the bot came home from school and let me know he had started getting colours for his year end teacher quilt. I started making his teacher a lap quilt after senior kindergarten. After he had the same teacher two years in a row. He seemed to think that meant every year it would happen.  And it mostly had. We skipped grade three. He had three part time teachers and no real connection or relationship with anyone them. Grade five was also skipped.  i figured having a boy teacher would have ended the streak. I was wrong. Smiley

So, for his current grade six teacher. Turquoise

His grade five teacher. Green and blue.

His music teacher (who has been teaching him music since junior kindergarten, taught him to play chess and gave him so much confidence when he was cast as the male lead in the school operetta)- red and blue

Madame- the French teacher- violet

And lastly one for the crossing guard. Not only is this the last year the bot would have crossed the highway with him, it's his last year crossing kids there.-blue

Made the bot pick out patterns for each, and pick and pay for the backing. He got the family deal. Cheesy

These are gorgeous and so incredibly full of love. I'm tearing up a little imagining the receiving of those gifts. Wow. How not to be touched?

I would love to be one of your son's teachers.  :-p

I had a baby at the end of the school year, and some parents gave me homemade items....a knit sweater and a whole cloth quilt.  Those were the best things ever.

I've got a handful of vintage patterns up for trade/swap (1950s/60s): Monograms, embellished bags, men's robe, lace work, spats/bags, bell bottom, mod dress.  PM if interested.
