Sharalee Cheesy - Unfortunately my hubby is a cyclist and still wears spandex!  Roll Eyes
I think we all need to do that hippy swap.

And Pioneer - no need to be nervous cause you can't go wrong with these.  As CraftsUnderground (I think?) said earlier in the thread, if it's weird looking, just stick a button on it!!!  The other thing - is the weird ones make for great filler when no other patches fit.  I just put them behind and only a portion of the patch shows.  Got that idea from studying SheepBlue's bags and tutorials.  And after everything is all put together, if it still looks weird, I put more buttons on!  Bahahah  Grin

As soon as I finish my second patch, I'm signing up for the hippie swap!

Oh boy, sometimes I wish I was older so that I could have lived through the 70's...

If you want to feel old, just walk around an antique store and find all of your wedding gifts labeled as "vintage." Or watch your kids wear the precious clothes that you have hung on to all of these years to a retro '70s party.
Last week my son asked me if I used to be a beatnik because they were studying them in school and I used to wear a beret! A hippy maybe, but a beatnik?

Pioneer9, so glad you are having fun. That is the best kind of swap. Enjoy yourself. I can't wait to see what you make.
I am finished with three and have the pillows ready for the rest. I haven't made any patches in a while and it feels good to get back into it.

Oh Gee, gosh golly! I did & still do like spandex & I still wear some.  Grin  The suits did look pretty nice back then. A lot of things come back again & again. Look at the hula hoop & skate board I had them when I was little, over 50 years ago. I love the old clothes & things & even hairdos. I really like the 30's & 40's hairdo's!

Anyway I am cutting & making my patches today!! Fun, fun, on my way to  making patches & embroidery!! I also like the wonkyness of the stuffing instead of the batting. But it's good too!!

Yippeayeehh!  All three packages are in the mail; pms sent to swap partners with DC#s.  Can't wait till they arrive at their destination and hope their new owners are happy with the liddle buggers.

I'm thinking of making myself an art journal out of the ones that I receive plus the pile of ones I have sitting on my living room floor.  Edel put together a tutorial of sorts that's quite insiring to me.  That plus the youtube videos from Teesha herself outta get me going.  I also want to make me a bag.  A real wonky crazy bag out of this world with vivid silliness.  All I need now is one of those eyeball patches that SilverMoon made...
