I will be moving to Orlando for the Walt Disney World College program in a month.  I was hoping to find some craft stores close to the resort area because I won't have a car, so I'll either be using to company bus or riding with roomies to the craft store.  I just don't want to make any one go out of their way, but I will be suffering from yarn withdrawls... I just know it. thanks a bunch!

I was just there in the spring and found a huge, brand new Joann Etc. right on that main strip (can't recall the name) where all the hotels and restaurants are. I hope this helps, maybe someone will come along with an exact address.

I feel your pain with being carless in the tourist section of town. Unfortunately, there aren't any craft stores within walking distance of where you'll be staying. There are a couple of stores that are just a few miles away. Your best bet would be the Michael's on Sand Lake Rd. Another possibility is JoAnn's, which is in a shopping center close to the Florida mall and Target. Both locations are convenient to the Florida mall, so you could try to hitch a ride with someone going in that direction.

The new JoAnn's is off of 192.   But that's about all I know about it!
