I've never redone a piece of furniture before, but this chair caught my attention at an event last week - long, weird story. Anyway, they were actually going to throw it away, and I just couldn't let that happen. It was solid wood and had great lines. What were they thinking?!

So I took it home in the backseat of my car - quite a tight fit - and repainted, repadded, and recovered the thing.

A closeup of the fabric I used (40% off at Hobby Lobby - woohoo!):



I have no idea how old this chair is, but it'd had new fabric put on four different times! I pulled staples FOR EVER.

I agree..It is really a great makeover..I am just flabbergasted by the framework and design also..
