i had an idea about doing a digital art swap. instead sending a package through regular mail, it would be a jpg file sent through email. It could be a photograph, a poster created on your computer, poetry, or something you create by hand and then scan or photograph. the reciever would then have the option of printing it out, or using it as wallpaper....
any input?

interested in a private atc swap-i am collecting ATC cards to be framed in a collage and auction to raise money for Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma research. (ACCRF) project blog-    atc4acc.blogspot.com

Hi Jenleahlynn,

I'm not sure a digital swap only is allowed on crafster swaps.  I could be wrong, but I think I've seen this idea pop up before and have seen mods says that to qualify for a swap something needs to be physically mailed.    Huh  Maybe you could ask the mods?     Smiley

Oh, I found the link I was thinking of:

Sending something exclusively digitally does not work with the Craftster swap system, and thus is not allowed unless it's done as a private swap.

If you wish to incorporate digital art within a sanctioned swap you could either to do a regular swap with the inclusion of the digital material, or you could swap digital images and each recipient could send a thank you card via the mail after receiving the digital work.

Other ways you might incorporate this idea into a swap include a keychain swap where the keychain is crafted and on it is a USB drive with their digital artwork, crafted frames to use with prints of your digital artwork, or providing digital artwork to a partner who will, in turn, make a project to send back to you.

Or, if you're just interested in sharing digital work, you could always host a Craftalong.  Smiley
