Been a while since I posted: sorry.

But, here I have 2 new bags that I made yesterday: Simplicity 9658, Tote B, and Butterick 6678, Bag B.
A tote bag and a duffel bag.

The Tote

The Duffel, Open

The Duffel, closed, showing front

The Duffel, closed showing handle.

You can't see it very well in the photo, but the Tote bag has a pocket on it. It's between the handles, above the band.
I added corner "seams" in order to have it be stiffer and more stand-uppy. It worked: it was kinda limp before.
The Balloon print fabric is one that I bought and was supposed to have been tablecloth material. It was very lightweight and worked well as the lower band.

The reason you cannot see the bling-ness on the Duffel, after it's closed, is because I (foolishly) put the bling-ness on first, before even sewing it.  I really thought that was going to be the front.

What do you think, Craftsters? I like to think that I'm improving.

Isn't the bling on the front? When you use the strap the other side is facing out. Beautiful work, very professional look. Great job.
