Front cover,

inside the front cover

and many pages from inside!
flamingo fabric, from my recent lino cut/fabric printing obsession

I bound in some envelopes made of pretty paper to take odds and ends that I didn't want to stick down

more lino cut prints

right throughout the book I have bound in these very narrow 'pages' these are sewn in and like this tag, it will allow me stick in new pages into the book as they can be stuck directly onto the little 'pages

inky fingers!

heart shaped buttons!

inside the back cover, image printed onto vintage ladies magazine
and the back cover (this stencil and the front cover from Ed Roths new stencil book)
the bulk of the lettering including on the back, is freehanded..

This is great! I love how you used the flamingo fabric, and the little skinny pages that can be used to glue more pages in later is a brilliant idea. I never would have thought of that, but now, I'll have to remember that if I ever set up a travel journal.

aw thanks guys, the skinny pages (they probably have a proper name, but I have no idea) are not an original idea, but they work really well, because often I do stuff on random bits of paper and often want to see both sides, so you can add them in, without 'loosing' one side. It works really well for an art journal, when you come across more cool paper etc,

I love all of the whimsy papers and envelopes...it is an art journal ready for more art!

Your prints are also the best part of the journal...lovely work, edel...you have amassed quite a collection of interesting "stuff"
