Hello Craftster friends! Once again, it has been so long since I have been able to post! I have so much going on these days and find myself with so many projects it's hard to keep up with posting them all, especially with so many places to post things like my blog, Facebook, instagram, etc. It's hard to keep up! Undecided

So, I decided that since I can't post everything I make on here like I used to, I will at least try to make it a point to post my absolute favorite things. Cheesy

I recently became an even bigger geek than I already am, and fell in love with the entire Marvel Universe. I was never introduced to comics as a kid, but after finally seeing the Avengers months after it was released to buy I fell in love with everything about it. Luckily, my husband had quite a few comics to get me started, and his best friend has a bajillion and they helped me get properly acquainted with the comic book world. I love many characters, but between the fantastic and magical world of Asgard and the beautiful hair and eyes of Chris Hemsworth, I have kind of fallen head over heels in love with Thor. I love everything about the stories, the mythology behind the characters and world, the Thor movie and Chris Hemsworth as Thor in general. He brought such a special charm to playing him and I am quite smitten with the whole character.

So that said, after selling almost all my stuff to clear out things and with an approaching birthday of my own coming upon me, I decided it would be okay to take a break from making orders and make something for myself. I have had this doll in my mind for MONTHS, but finally sitting down and making him was so fun!

Doth Mother know, you weareth her drapes?

12 hours of cutting, unraveling, tying and brushing yarn which I then turned into his wig. Ugh. Never again. Shocked
Totally worth it though!
I figured if I was going to make a Thor doll, I better make his hair awesome.
But like I said- never again! Grin

And now I spend more time styling his hair every morning than I do on my own hair.  Undecided

Shakespeare in the park.

I made him a hammer too. I mean "hamm-uh!!"

You want me to put the hamm-uh down?!

This doll is so cute. And tiny!

Okay, I'll stop with the pictures now. Sorry for so many...I just really like him! There are more pics on my Facebook page which I think is linked at the bottom of my profile if you want to see more, but I am sure this was plenty. lol. Anywho, thank you for stopping by! I hope you like my Thor doll. Smiley

Wonderful as usual. And his hair is great!

He's a beautiful doll (well, how could he not be?!) but good grief, his hair is INCREDIBLE!  I admire your patience, I really do, and it's paid off in a big way.  Hitting this rocks (because it does) and desperately hoping that this could be the start of a long line of Marvel-themed dolls...

Aw, thank you so much everybody! His hair is definitely my favorite too.

Amincale, I have a Hulk doll for my friends daughter, and another girl has been begging me to make a Loki, which I think would be fun. And I am sure the more I make, the more I will want to do others. Wink

Thanks again, everybody!

I SERIOUSLY thought that was fake fur -- and I use fake fur all the time! Damn this doll is so freakin' impressive I don't know where to start. Well, yes I do - I stammered something like "amazing" on  your facebook post but in all honesty, this blows my mind. He is utter perfection in every single way. The hair! The outfit! THE HAMMER!   Shocked

Ahem. What i'm trying to say is... kjasdkljsakldjaskdjasdkljasldkjskl;dJSKjaskldjal;kdjas [/keysmash of happiness] *THUMBS WAY, WAY UP!* Wink

All we have to decide is what to craft with the time that is given to us.

Yay!! Thanks speakgeekandenter! I LOVE your dolls too, and think they are some of the BEST I have ever seen. I am going to steal your Doctor 10 and I have always wanted to see what a Thor doll would look like coming from you. lol.

Next time I plan to use fake fur for sure because this was such a giant pain, but worth it in the end. Thanks again! Smiley
