This is the first Kusudama i ever folded, it's called the Cherry Blossom Ball and was designed by the very talented Tomoko Fuse. When i saw the original online i knew i had to have one, it took me some time but i eventually found the diagrams and made this.

This one is about 6 inches tall, its made from 30 sheets of paper, and is bright pink (and i mean pink, scarcely neon pink) with tiny red crystals in the middle of each flower.

I'm planning on making another of these (gifts again  Grin ) but i think this time i will be using a more subtle paper (maybe paint my own) and i will be using bigger crystal centers in a complementary color.

This looks great!!  I have been practicing my folding so that I can make one of these.  Now I know that it is possible.

Wise One - I'm glad you like it  Smiley it does take alot of patience, i usualy make them while watching tv though so it goes by fast

Pinokeeo - It's totaly possible, the pieces arn't that tough to fold, once you've made the first piece the others are easy. Post pics if you make one  Smiley
