I took Craftster's advice and made a watercolor painting for my mom for Mother's Day (since I was planning do it anyway!).  This was my first water color painting (at least as an adult Cheesy), and my first experience using latex masking fluid.  I decided to do my mom's French Bulldog, since that's her baby.  I cut around the image and framed it with some scrapbook paper.  I think I'll be doing more with this technique in the future!

Cute!
I like how you did the shading around the eyes.

Great job, especially after not having done it in years!

What a great piece, I think the eyes are perfect-it can be difficult to get the right highlights!

Thanks, guys!  I had no idea what I was doing, but everyone knew it was the dog when I gave it to her, so I figured it must at least be okay.  Cheesy  I wish the pink highlights around her ears and snout would have shown up in the photos a little better (or at all!).  They really made it extra cute and made it match that background paper a little better than it looks.
