I hope everyone isn't tired of seeing wall pockets because I've made one more---the last for awhile.  It's very simply made & took only a few minutes to complete.  I laid a crocheted doily on the fresh clay & rolled a dowel across it lightly so it left an impression in the clay.  I curved the overlapping edge, twisted the bottom & used newspaper to help it keep it's shape until it dried.  A stain brings out the texture.  It was a gift for a friend's 90th birthday.
