So I have this crazy thing:


I cant figure out how to get the picture out so I can reuse the setting. Any ideas? I am guessing its resin since it has yellowed so much. the date on the picture is 81/82. Thanks for any help.

Perhaps you could grind it down with a Dremel o sand it down.

Or try to find a loose seam on one edge and pop it out of the setting.  Does it possibly look like it is glued in?  If so, try to put a bit of acetone on the edge and see if that may loosen it, in case it is a separate piece glued in.

Is it solid on the back side, or does it have a hole? If it's the kind of setting with a hole you could punch it out from the back.
