The woodland creatures fabric is stunning. I would love any of those stamps individually let alone all together like that.

The bee fabric is really nice. I never thought of bees on fabric but it turned out very nicely.

Can some of you explain the ice printing, sun printing and some of the resist techniques you used.

I really like the effects and would like to try some in the future.

Thanks

I would also like to know what ice printing and sun printing are.

I LOVE the forest animal fabric!  Awesome!

Ooh what a neat set of coordinating fabrics! The bee/hex theme is great and perfect for the spring/summer months.

oh and FYI ivoryh - 9 screens !?!?! Can't wait to see what you did!

well they were small screens but yeah the one fabric used 9 different screens, without giving too much away all i'll say is it was kind of a mix and match repeated pattern, oh and i think i may have invented a new technique for making screens

Here's my tute on ice dyeing. There's a link to Carol R. Eaton Designs in the post as well, if you want more resources (I always do!).

I'm probably going to try to get a stamp flour resist tute up soon. In the meantime, here's the link I used to get you started. I just applied the resist to a stamp and used that on the fabric.

i am so impressed with all of the submissions so far!  some of you have me feeling like such an amateur Smiley  hard to pick favs, but i especially love the robot stamp, flower and vine combo, steampunk/gears silhouette, honeycomb/bee combo and the woodland creatures-such detail!!!!  amazing job everyone so far Cheesy

to add to this lovely collection, i received from sezouli last night!  she sent not 1 FQ, not 2, but 4 FQs of printed fabric  Shocked  she claims that 3 of them were "flops", but i like them all.  the first is the main one, red honeycomb pattern:

then the next one was a blue triangle pattern which i think turned out cool:

then there was also a red honeycomb-in-chevron-pattern print:

and finally was a dark fabric which she said was an attempt at galaxy print with red honeycomb pattern:

THANK YOU!!  i think these turned out great, and i am curious what the "found object" was that you used.  i can totally picture a project for each of these, and look forward to using them Smiley

now the fingernail biting continues until my partners finally receive...**insert rant about postal service here-i have NEVER had as much trouble mailing for a swap as i did for this one, and i am praying to the craft gods that both packages arrive ok, usps made me nervous this time Sad

The sun printing, bleach printing and stamp printing are amazing!  I am definitely going to try those out!

I received from loulew28 yesterday! Check it out - unicorns!  I am so into unicorns right now!  I love the purple on the pink with some white - it is very 80s!

Thank you loulew28 - this is perfect! I think I might make a pillow out of it, with some purple fun fur for the backing!
