I received from Abbeeroad today! She combined two of my themes, weather and geometrics, to make this cloud-inspired print:

She used an ice-dyeing technique to dye the background colors. I think the ethereal look of the clouds is very cool.

Thanks Abbeeroad!

Love the doctor who print! Great choice of color to print with  Wink

Ooh ptarmic! You got a great print! At first I thought it was more molecular inspired but I see clouds now too  Cheesy Abbee - How'd you do the print itself? I love to learn new techniques.

That cloud fabric is amazing! It looks a little like batik, but since the clouds are so similar, it looks like it's been stamped. I'm as curious as sheepBlue to know how you achieved that look. Ice dyeing is on my list of things to try, and after seeing your fabric, I think it just moved up a few notches Smiley

Yay! I'm so glad you like it, ptarmic!

I did stamp the clouds using a home-made stamp (hot glue on wood) and a flour resist (just flour and water).

I love those robots! And the one fabric looks like it may have been dip-dyed?

Lookeee!  Lookee!  I received from Abbeeroad.  We agreed to swap two fat quarters.  These are gorgeous.  She did starch resist (Huh) and then ice dye.  I love them.  Thank you so much.

love that bicycle print and the clouds, Never heard of ice-dying but I will have to check that out, I love the effect.

I am so glad that one of my packages has arrived already!.....the flamingo print (OK I am obsessed) The fabric was a vintage pillowcase I found in a thrift store, unfortunately there was only one, so I sent that piece to kawaiihelen and kept the other half for me...because the flamingos work so well on that background . They were both lino cuts printed onto the fabric, the flamingos were painted afterwards...the robots are on a dip-dyed piece..Helen wanted a piece for a cushion cover... and that was some fabric from Ikea that seemed to suit
