I posted these several weeks ago in the Harry potter craftalong and only realized today I hadn't posted them for all to see, so here they are:

I was inspired to create these when I happened upon quite a few plastic Easter eggs in the closet I was cleaning, Since my children are adults  I thought I should donate them but changed my mind while listening to some of my favorite music, I thought "Maracas"- The faces came about because I struggle with sculpting faces and this year I am focusing on improving those skills. I used creative paperclay over plastic Easter eggs filled with beans, legumes or rice, I then Painted them with acrylic paints and finished with a matte glaze to protect them

Happy Crafting!

What a wonderful idea!  these would make really fun gifts for the musicians in our lives.  I'm not musical but it would be a hoot to have a bunch of these on a shelf. Such a great upcycle idea for all those plastic eggs hanging around.
