After a lengthy delay (on my end, not my partner's!), here are the pics of the amazing package that ThrifyLiving4U sent to me!

I had an odd request- I wanted art for my bathroom! I sent her photos and the names of some color swatches from paint at Home Depot and she created some custom pieces for me (although I think that 2 of them may find a home in another room).

First- Believe There is Good in the World... just waiting to be hung on the wall!

Next... laugh, which will probably be relocated to my room of books, because, even though I didn't send her any info on colors for that room, I think it'll look great in there!

And, a collaged image of Cottonwood Creek near Jenny Lake in Teton National Park, just outside Jackson, WY. I love this image; it's like a mini vacation for my brain! So soothing... And, 2 pieces of hand-marbled paper that are just waiting to be crafted with!

Then, a set of hexagon and robot notecards. I love robots, and the hexagons are fantastic!

And, did I mention that I love robots? Look at these robot mugs! I love them! So cute, and perfect for tea.

Also, some fused glass pendants! The one without the bail has a crane on it (which doesn't show well in the photo), and I'm going to figure out the best way to hang it. And, two little canvases with magnets on the back (on the fridge for now, then on my classroom art wall in the fall!).

And, finally (yes, all good things must come to an end...), an amazing galaxy shirt, some lovely spools of green, patterned ribbon and my initials in glass!

I love every single thing that she made for me! And, once I get over an injury to my hand, I'll be back to finishing up her package! Thanks so much Christy!

Yay!  Love that it all got there in one piece.  I may post another pic of "laugh" so you can see the "verdigris and copper" effect. Smiley

Love your technigues, Thrifty...I love all of the lovely textures and goodness you achieve!

I am so envious of you smeddley--all the luscious handspun!  The red is absolutely stunning!

And, pinkleo--what a gorgeous, cushy bathmat!  Is it your own pattern?  It looks like flowers for your feet!

one more photo for the gallery?  my apologies to texscrapper for being inexcusably late on posting pics of the awesomeness she made me.

you see, my grandparents passed away last year and while cleaning out their house i found this quilt top that was in sad, old condition.  my grandma was never one to throw anything away, but she was also no seamstress/quilter.  her mother-in-law was.  so i can only guess that this was an unfinished quilt of my great grandma.  so i sent it to texscrapper with her package to see what she could do with it (i didn't want it to be a quilt, but something with purpose) and . . .

she made me 2 aprons!

this is the one i've been using Wink

this one i will send to my cousin

thanks, tescrapper, for dancing with me!

You absolutely should! My camera skills are seriously lacking and a better photo would show off some of the depth. Smiley
