I got my first (and so far only) tea pot as a gift when i graduated from high school. But now that I've actually started using this beautiful piece of porcelain I've realised it doesn't hold warmth very well. Enter the tea cosy! So I found a site with lots of patterns (http://tipnut.com/rosy-tea-cosy/) and used the one called "Broken rib" except I didn't decrease my stitches at the top due to my oblong knob, instead I inserted a string so I can pull it closed Smiley

Ace - an actual tea cosy!  Bet it keeps your tea nice and warm.  Looks like it's a really good fit for the pot.

P.S. Nice teapot Smiley

This is a super cute cozy.  It makes me feel warm just looking at it. I can only imagine how warm it keeps your tea. Congratulations it's adorable!

The ribbed pattern is great for this! It stretches but is still nice and thick enough to keep the warmth Smiley

And yes, I know! <3 I have matching tea-mugs too! It's really a shame to cover it up Tongue

Thank you! I used double strands of this nice red-orange wool that I've had in my stash forever, so it's nice and warm.

Beautiful teapot and cosy.  I have only once seen a teapot that didn't need a cosy - it had a built-in insulated cover.

My friend's got one of those, and I must admit, I'm pretty jealous of it. It holds warmth really well!
