Does anyone know where else one could find patterns from this designer (Robin Melanson)? I did a Google search, but only found references to this particular pattern. I'm just curious...

That's what I did, but didn't find much that I hadn't seen before. I guess I was hoping for some magical website with all her stuff in one place Smiley

well... I'm up to the shoulders on the front piece Smiley and it's gorgeous, but I'm definitely going to run out of yarn on the sleeves... the thing is that I don't even like the sleeves in the pattern very much so now I'm trying to think of other ways to do them. I have lots of complimetary coloured yarn, and might be able to do shorter sleeves with the lace pattern in a different colour and the tops in the same colour as the rest. I think I'm going to do that or just give it little lacy cap sleeves (but would i ever wear a wool top with cap sleeves? ever?)
any ideas?

oo! can you post progress photos?
i still want to be convinced.

you could, if it's your thing, stripe the sleeves with a complementary colour and then do the waist cinches in the complementar colour too.

haha...
thought you might be convinced - i actually like it in wool better than in the cotton they used (which for anyone thinking about this is 100% cotton. the yarn was discontinued and the manafacturer recommends substituting one of their own that I think would look pretty weird used for this - its a cotton viscose blend and very shimmery)

ooh and your first sweater - very exciting
