I usually stretch out a tape measure, lay the motifs along it at their narrowest width and see if it totals the require amount. That way, I don't have to add Smiley

I have one package all teady to go!  I am so happy. I hate to say that every single motif I made qualifies under a motif I've never made before as I am a newbie at reading patterns. (Dont worry, I picked other themes as well)  They all turned out so well though. Yipee!  Now to get to the post office, then start on my next package.  Cheesy

Holy cow, deathbeforedishes! You're quick! My hooks, yarn and patterns are teasing me, but I can't start for another week. In the meantime, I am picking out more patterns! And still hoping to locate my newest motif book...

Oh, and I'm back! I did end up taking my cross stitch with me, so no crochet to show for my vaca, but I will get started soon. Maybe after I finish the snowman amigurumi the middle neph has been nagging me to finish....7 1/2 year olds can be so bossy!

Ouch! I haven't even picked up a hook! I am cramming to craft for another swap today, and then I have to work on the IYP Swap this week. I may be able to get some crocheting done next Saturday... It's going to be one of those weeks!

But, after next weekend, I will have more free time to crochet (as long as I don't let my end of term paper grading pile up... 4 weeks to go... ugh!).
