I was asked to make a stand up sign for a ren faire.  This is what I came up with.  All wood.

Well, it was already kind of weathered.  I used wood that I pulled out of dumpster. Cheesy  I also used a spray finish that was old and it sort of changed the color.

wonderful.  Did you make the frame too?  and I love that you pulled the wood out of a dumpster. Great re-use!

I made the whole thing as you see it.  The bar across the top was so they could hang a weight from it, so it wouldn't blow away.  It was also the pivot point for the legs, which had small chains attaching them, so they wouldn't splay too much. 

The plywood front and the legs is what I pulled out of the dumpster.  It was a great find at the right time.  I just got lucky.
