So excited for my partner - I already have the bag in my head now to sit down and do it!

Hey--I've got a bag in my head too! (That sounds so funny!)

I just made a practice bag (well, one for me). The french seams were pretty easy and I'm actually surprised at how big they are - the bags not the seams. These bags are roomy! Smiley

Now to decide once and for all which direction to take my partner's bag. I have 2 ideas that I think she'll like. What to do...

This evening I got some fabric from my mom because I decided that my practice bag would be for her. I'm super excited to make hers and then my partners!!

I took my little kumquats with me to Jo Ann's and they helped me scour rows and rows of fabric until we found one that matched one of my partners loves.

Now I just need to plot out the extras...  Cheesy

Leslie, THANKS for posting the tutorial you made, I found each much easier to follow than the actual pattern!!

My bag is made but I'm going to have a very hard time parting with it  Cry  Guess that's what happens when you and your partner have similar tastes.

You're welcome, Homerof2! I did that tutorial because I found the pattern directions a bit lacking...

I made a bag...which was meant to be the actual bag, but i think it's ending up as a practice bag! I did mess up oh-so-slightly, but I think it looks super. Maybe I'll just send both!

Well, I made one of my extras and miscalculated the measurements. I am not happy with the result so It is back to the drawing board. Smiley

I finished my first extra and even though I have the material for the bag, I haven't actually started on it yet. I will probably do that this weekend. Smiley Sewing isn't my strongest skill, but this bag is pretty basic and I have Leslie's tute to help me.  I am excited!

I am still debating a few other crafts to make... narrowing it down is usually the hardest part for me.
