For the Hobbit Movie Swap last year I made a hobbit traveling kit.

Everything was wrapped in furoshiki

Her favorite scene was the troll scene, so I created a bag of gold. I painted wooden circles gold and then used a paint pen to add symbols to each one.

Because it was a Hobbit travel kit I included a lot of food.

The idea is that on a trip you'd need to bring many items that were portable. So I created Jar in Mix kits. I even made a cookbook on how to use the mixes to make bisquits and other items

You can't have food and not eat it. So I also included plates, napkins, and tiny silverware. The plates are cup saucers, that I painted the symbols and baked them.

You can't go on a journey without a map, so I printed out two maps that Bilbo would have needed on his journey. I used tea to age them and the cookbook.

What a wonderful swap gift.  I love the font you used for the recipes.  And the mixes in  jars are a lovely gift even for non-hobbits.

great package.  I love all the detailing you put into it.

Sometimes you get to change the world, and other times the world changes you.

I never knew there was a word for the way you see bento boxes wrapped up, thanks for sharing that! I love the food mixes, that is very appropriate for a hobbit. I like the recipe book too, but I was wondering what was in the jars themselves? That doesn't seem to be in the book...
