I've never entered a challenge before and as I often forget to post my projects anywhere but in the craftalongs I thought I would enter this one  Wink

I made this doll for Bunnieboo in the Junker Jane doll swap. Unfortunately during the crafting period Bunnieboo was hospitalised & I had no idea what style of doll she would have preferred so I went with less Junky and more worn out and replaced.

My idea was that Alice was the well loved and ill-used companion of a little girl whose big sister came to the rescue with repairs to keep Alice alive and well  Grin

I think these pictures show the distressed/repaired look of the doll. I stained the fabrics with coffee, tea and tumeric and over painted the whole thing with watered PVA glue with a tint of brown in it to make it look old and dirty. I even stroked some through her yarn yarn which I had cut chunks out of (I always cut my dolls hair as a kid!)

Then I made her companion in a similar vein, knitted him mismatched ears and only sewn on one button eye. His waistcoat was a tiny scrap of fabric with slits cut for his arms. His tiny pocket watch is a charm  Grin

I really had a difficult time sending these off to a new home!

The second JJ doll I see in this challenge!

This doll is so JJ and still Alice! She looks well loved without the creepiness.
I love the rabbit with its watch so much.

Great job on this doll Kookie!! Smiley

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

I totally remember this one... and aside from being an Alice fan, I've got to say, I dunno how you sent this pair away either! Definitely my fav White Rabbit ever. Love it!
