Hey sewists!  Susanab and I want to know if you would be interested in another round of morsbag crafting?

SIGN UP HERE:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=423477.0#axzz2SoPZQZqf

Morsbags are handmade, re-usable, fabric shopping bags.  The website will give you directions to make a morsbag, and lots of information and inspiration about shopping green by avoiding plastic bags that can harm the environment.  I have made a few morsbags myself, and I can say that they are easy and fun to make! You would be encouraged to do "something" to the bag to make it special--you know, add a feature or embellishment of some kind.

Here's the GALLERY from the last swap.

We would be crafting one morsbag for our partner plus one medium-ish item inspired by stalking of said partner.  With a week of sign-ups and a 3-4 week crafting period, the send-out date would be around June 14th.  Does that work for you?

Come on, get excited, it's MORSBAG TIME!!!

I'm still intimidated by French seams so I watched a few videos on YouTube to lessen the anxiety.
I'm interested....

Believe me, French seams sounds intimidating but it really is so easy! Just sew WRONG sides facing, iron seams open and maybe trim a little, then turn around and sew RIGHT sides together with a slightly larger distance and THAT' S IT!  Cheesy
Even sounds more difficult, hahaha! Just take my word for it, a Dutch saying for it is very easy: "A child can do the laundry" (een kind kan de was doen)  Roll Eyes

You will ask yourself why you didn't ever tried it before! I swear!
(No, I am not trying to convince you  Grin )

smmarrt--wendie is so right. if i can do it, you can do it with one hand (while the other one makes an art doll perhaps??). if you didn't already, take a look at the scant (and nicely illustrated) morsbag how-to. if you didn't know it had a name like "french seams" and just did it, you know--VOILA!

thanks wendie. it will be nice nice for me to do this swap with leslie aka "the mod" happyheart Wink Smiley Cheesy
