First I made this based off of a tutorial I found online:

Then I made a two-part mold of it using that purple putty (I forget the name!):

Then I made a dozen half-brains, because I thought the full-size brain would make the resin overflow.:

I also thought that if I used the full-sized brain I could make it bas relief, like the brain is stuck in the resin.....I'm just notsure!

I love the half brain magnet idea.  Can you make the magnets brain-shaped rather than embedding the casting in resin, just make resin brains with magnets?

Well, I had wanted to do that originally and I was trying to locate a tray of brain molds so I could make multiples.

At the most, using this purple putty (I have enough leftover for another 2-parter) I could only make 2 resin brains at a time. I admit, they *would* look cool, though! I may do it if I get ambitious enough!
