Challenge/Battle/Alert: July Challenge - Marvel!
Team/Ninja: Team Monster
Project Geekdom (if any):
Bonus Points: Nerdy, Discovery (? I made my own pattern)
Project Name: Marvel Notebook Cover
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: I had this awesome fabric and just used it last month to make a wristlet in a swap. I decided to use it to figure out how to make a notebook cover. yeah, It turned out upside down on the front but the back is okay.
Project Picture:

Challenge/Battle/Alert: June Wordy - Fave Childhood story
Team/Ninja: Team Monster
Project Geekdom (if any): Sesame Street Monsters! Cookie Monster, Oscar the Grouch, Grover, and even Elmo!
Bonus Points: Nerdy, Super Nerdy
Project Name: Sesame Street Notebook Cover
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: This is why I made the first version - so this one would be right side up.  Wink  I made this one for a swap. It reminded me of one of my Favorite books, The Monster at the end of this book and I even remember an ABC book of Sesame Street (before Elmo). Those books taught me Monsters were not all bad.
Project Picture:

Challenge/Battle/Alert: Randomizer: Our Ancestors
Team/Ninja: Team Monster
Project Geekdom (if any): Frankenstein's Monster
Bonus Points: Nerdy, Super Nerdy
Project Name: Frankenstein's Monster Fridge Magnet
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: I wanted to make a Frankenstein's Monster fridge magnet for a while and tonight I had the time. I drew out Frankenstein and colored him in gray scale first with my Copics. Then I added the color on top. I think it turned out well for color considering I am still learning. And Frankenstein is a vintage/classic monster!  Wink

Yay for "The Monster at the end of this book"! I loved that book!!! Way way way cooler than "Another Monster at the end of this book". I seriously love Grover. I would love to go back to Sesame Place just to see him again even tho my kids are too grown for it.

I've got a project!! Yay!!

Challenge/Battle/Alert: June challenge - multimedia
Team/Ninja: Team Control Freaks
Project Geekdom (if any): video games!! Robot unicorn heavy metal attack
Bonus Points: nerdy, nerdy super bonus!
Project Name: robot unicorn heavy metal ami
Project Page Link (if available): pattern from here http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hermione-the-unicorn
Brief Description: I was in the SSS31 and I offered this cute little unicorn ami, well, ghilie got one and when I asked her how she wanted it to look she said robot unicorn attack heavy metal of course, lol.  I thought, what?? So I did some searching and omg! How am I going to do that?? So I got out trusty grey red heart with all intentions of using it.  I went to michaels for a totally unrelated reason and they added like 3 new rows of yarn so I had to look! I found this patons metallics yarn and thought it would be perfect for a shiny unicorn! Then I found this funky yarn that looked fiery and got him done!
Project Picture:

I don't know if you can tell, but the yarn really is shiny!

Challenge: July Fandom
Team-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named
Project Geekdom : Harry Potter!
Bonus Points: SNB-Super Nerdy Bonus
Project Name: I Open at the Close
Project Page Link: I Open at the Close...Tiny Snitch Hoopla
Brief Description & Project Pics: I made this tiny hoopla for Ant Bee in the OHTPT4.  Finally, the muggle mail delivered it; this snitch went on an adventure.  For Fandom Fit: In the world of Harry Potter, Quidditch is a competitive sport in the wizarding world.  It is extremely popular; the equivalent to Muggles' passion for football.  It is not uncommon for a wizarding household to have several items in their home celebrating this sport.

I painted the outer hoop blue and adorned it snitches before adding a glossy finish.

I've been thinking about this research project...  its time to declare and get it started!

Project Name: 9 Patch Musical Quilt
Team/Ninja: Team Music
Brief Description: Quilting will be a new medium for me.  I've always wanted to make a quilt and I think I'm ready to delve into this after working on several afghans (comparatively similar in size) and skirts (comparatively similar in general technique).  I will be using various music fabrics to create this quilt.  It will be a 9 patch of some description.  I haven't decided if I want it to be a disappearing 9 patch or some other kind.  My timeline is start now and finish whenever it gets done.  I don't really expect to finish it before school starts back in a month or so.  Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated from any of the fabulous quilters on here!
