Is it too late to post something for June? I can prove I made it in June (it was for a swap and partner posted pics)... just I have better pics on my cell phone than my partner took. And I really want to show the awesomeness off in all its glory. Sadly: I hate the whole "text each pic to my email. Upload each pic from individual email and save to computer. Upload from computer to Craftster" mess. I get paid tomorrow so am going to buy the little cord that will enable to to upload from my phone to computer via USB.

You can post projects for the monthly Challenges (Textbook, Media, Wordy, Fandom, Randomizer) any time throughout the games.  The monthly Battle Royale projects are the only ones that have to be posted in the same month to receive the points.  Wink

I can't wait to see your project!

Challenge/Battle/Alert: June Randomizer - Zombies Ate My Brain!
Team/Ninja: Team Fantasy
Project Geekdom: /
Bonus Points: /
Project Name: Lacy sleep mask / head band
Project Page Link: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=425139.0#axzz2XyqQm9TD
Brief Description:
The elastic of my sleep mask had totally worn out, rendering it unusable. Since I have an early train ride of three hours coming up tomorrow, and I'd like to be able to catch some sleep along the way, I had to mend it! It was a really easy thing to do: I cut off the old elastic, got out my stash of stretchy lace, cut off 55cm, stitched up the short edges together and then stitched the lace band to the mask. It really was a no-brainer! And it does double duty: I can use it as a head band too, to hide away bed head Smiley

Darn it! It was goign to be a Battle Royale piece too, for Horror. Oh well.

Challenge/Battle/Alert: Battle: Too late but June: Horror. Sad The points that could have been...
Challenge: Fandom: Super Fans (Love Supernatural! I watched all 7 seasons i less than a month. Now I'm stuck waiting for season 8 on DVD)
Team/Ninja: Of Ships & Men
Project Geekdom (if any): TV
Bonus Points: Nerdy (See Challenge: Fandom above); Discovery: My first ever altered altoid tin. I am terrible with paper crafting. I'm so freaking amazed at how this turned out, I can hardly stand it!!
Project Name: Protection Kit
Project Page Link (if available): This is where I got my "how to do it"... but I still figured out lots on my own. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=374080.0#axzz2Uigtef5d
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques/recipe used, any fun tips, etc.)
Project Picture:
Here's the link to the swap page:

Maybe her pics are better after all... ? And the planchett is made out of poly clay with little velvet paper glued to teh bottom so it "glides" and I used a straw to cut out the hole... perfect size.

It's maroon velvety paper on the inside, and the "kit" includes holy oil, holy water, and salt (made to be a necklace). And the wings are just extra (not attached):

Kinda cool bonus, though not related to the show... the paper I used on the outside had words. Intent was to catch the feel of their dad's journal and all the research they do. The sides of the bottom part of the tin actually has a phrase that wraps perfectly around. Neither of us got a photo and I don't remember what it was. But a cool coincidence all the same.

Project Name: Flamingo Journal Cover
Project Page Link: -
Brief Description: I absolutely love Leslieshappyheart's Journal Cover Tutorial. Even though I have it mostly down by now, I always hop over to double check the dimensions. I found this flamingo print and knew right away it had to be made into something for my pal Calabaza! I know it is very simple, but I loved to print so much I just left it as is.

Challenge/Battle/Alert: Fandom / May Challenge
Team/Ninja:
Project Geekdom (if any): TV
Bonus Points: Nerdy
Project Name: Happy Owls
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description:

I have bought the supplies for decoupage, for ages, like months before this challenge actually started but never have time to make it. So here is it! My happy owl wallet. I really love how it comes out.

Oh, and trying to link it to my own geekdom since I cannot think of any tv show that has an owl on it. (At least the one I have watched currently). Martha Stewart, also do decoupage on her tv show.

Tada!

Challenge/Battle/Alert: Randomizer / July Challenge

Bonus Points: Nerdy, Discovery
Project Name: Happy Owls
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description:

Actually, I have made 2 projects and I’m trying to submit both for points. Therefore, I’m babbling about that decoupage is actually a vintage technique. Our ancestors like to decorate by sticking papers onto different objects which now become the art of decoupaging.

Nah, I’m not going to use the Martha Stewart again.

Pink is actually my favorite color, same color of my many fave characters: Hello kitty , Marron Cream, Chibichibi from Sailormoon, Kirby, Pink Gloomy Bear etc.

It is also my first time using the whole sheet of paper, the other one is make up of multi tiny pieces. And it's quite hard not to rip such a thin sheet of paper while trying to make it nice and smooth and pressing hard to make the paper stick to the purse.

Project Picture:

Sorry, if I post too many pics, I'm very proud about this!

Challenge/Battle/Alert: June Wordy

Team:  The Team that goes Bump in the Night

Project Geekdom:  Dark Fantasist - Ray Bradbury

Bonus Points: Nerdy, super nerdy

Project Name: Usher II

Brief Description: Inspired by a scene from one of my favorite stories by one of my favorite authors, Usher II from The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury.

There were seven rooms, each a different color, one blue, one purple, one green, one orange, another white, the sixth violet, and the seventh shrouded in black velvet.  And in the black room was an ebony clock which struck the hour loud.  And through these rooms the guests ran, drunk at last, among the robot fantasies, amid the Dormice and Mad Hatters, the Trolls and giants, the Black Cats and White Queens, and under their dancing feet the floor gave off the massive pumping beat of a hidden and telltale heart.

Mr. Stendahl!

A whisper.

Mr Stendahl!

A monster with the face of Death stood at his elbow.  It was pikes.  I must see you alone.

What is it?

Here Pikes held out a skeleton hand, in it were a few half-melted wheels, nuts, cogs, bolts.
