Project Name: 3 Baby Quilts
Team/Ninja: Team-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named

Brief Description: My sister in law is expecting her first son this summer and one of my cousins has just had her second daughter. Since I never got around to a quilt for first baby, I will be making one for each of them! For my SIL's son I'm going with a simple pattern of stripes of fabric, alternating between solids and prints.  (So really, no specific pattern to link to.)  It should be approximately 42" x 50" or 42" x 58" when completed.  The fabrics will all be coming from my stash, and I hope to work on it a little bit every day after I get out of work. For the girls I will be making two quilts of the same pattern, but with different color schemes. The pattern is the Giant Star Block Quilt by Jeni at In Color Order.  The pattern is quite big, so I'm going scale it down to make them a bit more kid sized.  One will be Lime & Raspberry, and the other will be Turquoise & Mustard.  Both will have either off white or charcoal as the background color.

This is the first project I have posted so please let me know if I do something wrong...

June Battle: I chose to go with Romance
Team/Ninja:Team-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named
Project Geekdom (if any): No particular Geekdom
Bonus Points: N/A
Project Name: Altered Hanging House Shrine

I participated in a swap from another site and got a free gift for playing.  The gift was this little hanging house shrine.  I went through my stash and decided to whip this up as an extra for my partner in the Shrine Swap.  I haven't sent it to her yet so there is a chance she won't catch it here!  One of the themes she chose was Love, and with all the pink and gold this just screams love and romance to me!

Bonus Points: Discovery, link to recipe tutorial below
Project Name: Homemade Peanut Butter
Project Page Link (if available): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=424316.new#new
Brief Description: I made my own peanut butter at home!  All Natural YAY!!!!!  It is a no-brainer because it is SO easy!  Put the peanuts in the food processor and turn it on.

Challenge/Battle/Alert: Randomizer: Zombies ate my brains! (June)
Team/Ninja: Monster
Project Geekdom (if any): None
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Chicken Pot Pies!
Brief Description:  One of my favorite things to make is chicken pot pies.  They are just so good, and I've made them so many times now that they really are a no-brainer.  I barely glance at the recipe anymore and its more of a guideline for my pies, anyhow, since I make so many substitutions and changes to it.  I put them all together last night and then baked them this morning.  1 for me, 1 for my SIL who had a baby a few weeks ago, and the other 2 for grieving family members (my husband lost his remaining grandfather on Sunday.  Its a big Italian family and he really was the heart of them.)  Chicken Pot Pies are my go-to comfort food for grieving.  I'm a cheater, I use frozen pie crusts and the refrigerated top crusts from the store to make these.  It cuts down on time, which I don't have an infinite amount of, and my patience since I have none when it comes to making crusts.  Plus, the store bought bottom crusts come in a metal pan that I don't have to worry about getting back, and that's a bonus!

Challenge: June Randomizer: Zombies ate my brains!
Team: Dystopia!
Project Geekdom: Zombies
Bonus Points: Nerdy, Nerdy Super Bonus
Project Name: Zita the Zombie Poppet
Project Page Link: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=424338.0#axzz2VNQMhH3R
Brief Description: I have tried several times to draft my own doll pattern, or make a different type doll from any other pattern, and I just can't do it (yet! I'm still trying of course). So whenever I feel the need to make a doll - which happens quite often - I fall back on ghilie's poppet pattern. I tried really hard to make Zita the zombie scary, but I think she's too cute to frighten anyone! My favorite part is her hair, it's super soft and I found it at the dollar store Smiley
