Challenge/Battle/Alert: May - Textbook: Primary Numbers
Team/Ninja: Team Music
Project Geekdom (if any):
Bonus Points: Discovery!
Project Name: Peace, Love and Potholders!
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: These are from Jexxican's pinterest for the Ongoing Pinterest swap.  I know I probably should wait to post them but she knows what she's getting so I figured it was okay.  Smiley  Each one of these potholders has 7 colors (not counting the outline) so that's how I figure it fits into the challenge.  I get the discovery bonus because I've never done something where you have to crochet through the two layers to finish off the project.  I hope that makes sense.

3 of them.

My finacee says that this one looks like the NBC peacock.

And this one's not quite done yet.  Going to get done Sunday afternoon at the baseball game.  Smiley

Love the Pirate Monster and the Harry Potter Pirate shirt (want one!). It seems as though the pirates are dominating the ninjas! But, even though I chose a ninja craft, I covet most of the pirate ones being posted!

Ffrogg526, I love your crocheted pieces. So bright and cheery!

I have a question about the June Battle.  The word "romance" has several definitions.  Do we choose one of them, or is one of them specifically meant by the Game Master?

Any way you interpret Romance will work.

(same goes for Horror....If you are scared of butterflies, you can add that as your horror submission)

Use the description to explain why it means Romance/Horror to you. Grin

For the June Battle you can submit which you think is stronger or which you enjoy more.
Make sense?

I got a question,

can I submit a project for May Challenge in June instead?

I'm not sure if I have enough time to finish it this month.
YES for Monthly Challenges.  Battles are the only thing that must be done during the month.

man, I wanna comment on projects, but even thoiugh I check the thread every couple of days theres always several pages of new stuff and I get lost before I finish catching up.... so, everyone just assume that I think you're awesome, ok?

challenge: may battle - NINJAS!!!!!
Team/Ninja: S&M
Project Geekdom : reading / bookcrossing, physics
Bonus Points: discovery, nerdy & super-nerdy
Project Name:
The laws of physics dictate that the force of gravity is always attractive, and that on earth at surface level this force will pull objects downwards with a force equal to 9.81 times the mass of the object.
I however have taken the opportunity of this battle to craft an anti-gravity device. I call it a 'knitted rope' and I have found that by using it to tie objects to structures, you can prevent those objects from falling under the force of gravity.
I have never done any guerilla knitting before, but I am an experienced bookcrosser (bookcrossing is leaving books in public areas for passers-by to find and take away for free) - so I used the old skill a a leapbaord for the new;

I made an anti-gravity knitted rope, wrapped up a knitting related book, and undercover of night (friday night, appropriately chosen for the book) I went all craft-ninja and snook my art onto a bridge handrail

I left the remains of the yarn and some needles there too, in case the passing reader needs some to practice with Wink

Working on a slow slow computer so I will have to look at all of the projects and comment when I get back to my office...but I just know everything is awesome...Grin

Challenge/Battle/Alert: May Textbook--Prime Number
Team/Ninja: Commercial Free TV All-Stars
Project Geekdom (if any): TV--Dr. WHO
Bonus Points: include which bonus points you think you've earned: Nerdy in my Geekdom
Project Name: Dr. Who Two
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: Looks like this craftalong is going to help me stay motivated to stay on my Dr. Who embroidered quilt...just so happens that I finished Dr. Who Two...one of a few primary numbered Doctors... Grin.

I decided that while I enjoy the free patterns provided, I wanted to change them up a bit to suite my personal preference...so on this one, I added more hair...
