Challenge/Battle/Alert: July 2013- DC vs. Marvel (DC!)
Team/Ninja: Commercial Free lTV All-Stars
Project Geekdom (if any): COMICS
Bonus Points: include which bonus points you think you've earned
Project Name: Be WONDER-ful in the kitchen
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: I loved watching Linda Carter as Wonder Woman...she was so beautiful and smart and not blonde...Grin...I saved a picture of an apron that I saw on the internet a few years back but never got around to making it...you  know, it was put on the back burner...but I never forgot it...so, when I saw this month's challenge, I knew I had to make it!

The gold banding was a real pain because of the shiny, slippery nature of the costume satin I used. Other than that, it was a fairly easy project...looks like I will try to use her super powers in the kitchen to make some goodies...but, for someone who forgets to put in the bananas in Nilla wafer banana pudding, I doubt it will help!  Cheesy

Team/Ninja: Team Mystery Lovers
Project Geekdom (if any): is there anything nerdier than comics?  LOL
Bonus Points: nerdy
Project Name: Arc Reactor tee shirt
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: I made this little shirt for my little Iron Man fanatic for Christmas (yes, I like to start early)!  Grin  And when it comes to choosing Marvel vs DC.... seriously, ladies, with the Marvel-ous eye candy buffet we get at the theatres, I'm a Marvel girl all the way:  my team "mascot"- the delicious RDJ, Chris Hemsworth, Hugh Jackman, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, James Marsden, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, and even Patrick Stewart!  Need I continue?  Is it getting warm in here?   Wink

Bakeneko - your skull is sweet!  I love that natural cork, too, it's the perfect background.  I also like your drawing...glitter scars!  That would make them so much cooler in real life.  Grin

jennieingram - such pretty dishcloths and bracelets.  I really love the quilts you did, especially the star blocks.  Lucky kiddos!  I tend to judge books by their covers too, even though in my head I'm saying, "Don't do that!"

ayajj - nice reconstruction!  SDCC!...sigh.

craftADDchick - wonderful idea for the classroom quilts!  And your jellies look great.  Yum!  Your t-shirt is also awesome!

patty_o_furniture - awesome movie room toys!  I've done that with my stenciling projects so many times...I usually go in with a paint brush and add some random design to blend it in and make it look intentional.  Cheesy

Calabaza - pretty pretty pretty scarf!

FiberAlchemist - wow, that quilt is amazing!  I also love your little poly clay figures and match holder.  What a good idea.  I still want to try stamp carving, yours turned out great!  And such cute yeti shorts!

StickerChic87 - I love your little house shadow box.  What a wonderful idea and memento.

Eiseldora - too bad about the stripes, but it is still cute!  Can't go wrong with X-Men!

Ludi - ahhh-mazing!  As usual.  Wink  I'm really impressed by those who can sculpt...it has always eluded me.

Smeddley - that is so cute!  I'm glad you finished him...adorable!

alwaysinmyroom - OMG, that Wonder Woman apron is too awesome!  I love it.  Go team!

stefaniegk - wow your quiver is super cool!  What a neat idea!  Yay team!

bunny1kenobi - haha, you're too funny!  Patrick Stewart is enough to win that competition for me. Tongue  Cute little shirt for your little guy!

smileyyogini - great hat!  I should really learn how to crochet someday!
