Thanks! I haven't watched much Dr. Who myself but I can tell you the scarf was about 80 hours of knitting.

..and, it is boring and mindless... Grin...I am never making another one...well, maybe...I am thinking of making a mini one like silvermoon made for her son...at least it would be wearable...who can wear a 14' scarf for real? ha ha

great accomplishment, ohiodiygirl, (on the bucket list for knitters!)...DONE!

I don't mind knitting scarves, I hate crocheting scarves! It seems like it takes so much longer since I have to look at it more.

Ooh I found a few more that count!

Challenge/Battle/Alert: June - Multimedia Disco
Team/Ninja: Team Control Freaks
Project Geekdom (if any): music/bands
Project Name: Geoff Rickly glitter portrait
Brief Description: I made a glitter portrait of Geoff Rickly from the band Thursday for my friend who came to visit the first week of June. I took a picture of Geoff singing, converted it to a stencil and drew it on a piece of glitter cardstock using acrylic paint pens. I like the paint pens because they let some of the glitter shine through even though it is shaded black. I have done several of these with acrylic paint and the black turned out flat.

Challenge/Battle/Alert: May - Textbook Prime Numbers
Team/Ninja: Team Control Freaks
Project Geekdom (if any): music/bands
Project Name: Morrissey painting
Brief Description: I painted this two color portrait of Morrissey for a friend last week. I used the same technique as the previous portrait, he is just painted on canvas instead of cardstock.

Challenge/Battle/Alert: June Fandom SuperFan

Team:  The Team that goes Bump in the Night

Project Geekdom:  Gormenghast

Bonus Points: Nerdy, super nerdy, discovery

Project Name: The Osseous Orse

Project thread:   http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=424857.msg5056007#msg5056007

Brief Description:  Scene inspired by the song Dr. Alfred Prunesquallor sings to his sister Irma after he slips a sedative in her drink so she can go to dreamland and be a lady all night long and stop annoying him.  This project was a challenge for me as my first foray into a papercrafted tunnel scene.

Heres the song which we must imagine the Doctor singing in his bizarre high-pitched voice:

Come, flick the ulna juggler-wise
And twang the tibia for me!
O Osseous orse, the future lies
Like serum on the sea.

Green fields and buttercups no more
Regale you with delight, no, no!
The tonic tempests leap and pour
Through your white pelvis ever so.

Come, clap your scapulae and twitch
The pale pagoda of your spine,
Removed from lifes eternal itch
What need for iodine?

The Osseous orse sat up at once
And clanged his ribs in Biblic pride.
I fear I looked at him askance
Though he had naught to hide....

No hide at all....just...

And he forgets the rest of the song, but Irma has by now passed out and is carted away on a stretcher....
